When I won this tournament it was a highlight of my young life. Looking back, 20 years or so since, I realize how little I knew about Judo. Today, I appreciate how expansive it is. Walk in to any dojo in the US, France, Africa, and beyond, and you will experience a very similar sense of comraderie, athleticism, and friendship. Though considered the safest full contact sport for youth, judo is a sport for any age group!
